As part of our plans to accelerate growth and continue our ‘Keep Building’ ethos across our key Northern Powerhouse projects in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester, we are pleased to announce that we have taken on our first apprentice.
19-year-old Jake Hall has started a five-year-long Building Surveying apprenticeship with us while studying a part-time Building Surveying degree at the University of Salford, with the aim of becoming qualified Project Manager and securing a permanent role with the Group.
Over the course of his apprenticeship, Jake will be focusing on our ground-breaking Yorkshire projects, which includes Thorpe Park Leeds, Sheffield Digital Campus and Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park as well as the rapidly-expanding Middlewood Locks development in Salford.
The appointment follows Chancellor, Rishi Sunak’s challenge to businesses across the North to step up and help revive the economy after the onslaught of coronavirus and reduce the number of unemployed 16-24 year-olds by creating job opportunities for the young.
