The 2022 Insider South Yorkshire Property Dinner, held at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 7 July, celebrated the standout developments and property deals of the last 12 months, as well as the individuals that made them a reality.
Having been involved in the Sheffield property market for many years, it is a key event in our social calendar and this year it was made all the more special because our flagship project, Sheffield Digital Campus was crowned Outstanding Development of the Year.
The coveted award, which is judged by an expert panel of property professionals, saw Sheffield Digital Campus fight off stiff competition from schemes across the whole region, including Sheffield Hallam University’s state-of-the-art Campus and Wilton Development’s 25-acre industrial scheme in Barnsley, Enterprise 36.
Over the past 15 years, Sheffield Digital Campus has evolved to become a thriving hub for the creative, digital and professional services industries.
In a city where Grade A office supply is extremely limited, it has injected nearly a quarter of a million sq ft of prime business space across three (soon to be four) buildings, supporting over 2,500 jobs and establishing a new office quarter linking the city’s major transport hubs to the central business district.
Mark Jackson, Group Development Director, commented:
“Fifteen years ago, we joined with Sheffield City Council to deliver a visionary masterplan that would regenerate a key part of Sheffield city centre.
“As we near the completion of our fourth and final building, Endeavour, we can look back with a great deal of satisfaction at how Sheffield Digital Campus has reinforced this important part of the City, and added to Sheffield’s commercial offer.
“A big thank you and well-done to our entire project team, and to Sheffield City Council for its support as always. Congratulations also to all those shortlisted in this, and all of the other categories.
